OneAdvanced is a UK-based software and services business with around 1,600 employees. Over the past three years the organization has been through a major transformation to improve its employee experience – especially reward and benefits – across the UK, Ireland, Australia and India.

Transforming an under-par, manual benefits offering
“Over the past three years, employee listening highlighted consistent negative feedback about compensation and benefits. Employees wanted more choice, flexibility, and access to medical insurance. Previously, the organization only had a 5% matched pension, PMI for around 200 senior employees, and one annual dental renewal option. All benefits were managed manually and with no flexibility.
Launching global PMI and scaling benefits wouldn’t have been possible without the right technology. Digitizing benefits became essential to support growth and employee expectations.â€
Launching Reward Hub as part of a wider digital transformation
“Reward Hub launched with Benifex in September 2025. The rollout was phased, starting in the UK and Ireland and then Australia and India. This marked the beginning of offering employees modern, flexible benefits for the first time.
A platform was needed that was flexible, modern, and quick to deploy in all four regions globally. Benifex offered strong out-of-the-box capability, including Marketplace and Total Reward Statement functionality. The platform still gave space for tailoring to OneAdvanced’s priorities. With a lean team, pre-built Marketplace solutions were critical to move at pace without building every policy from scratch.
The goal was to improve a benefits offering that was under par and scale rapidly from almost nothing to a compelling, competitive offering. The team met aggressive timelines, signing in summer 2025 and launching across four regions in under three months.
Key goals for the platform included:
The program also needed to directly respond to employee feedback through a ‘you said, we did’ approach.
Historically, benefits were under par and heavily manual. Modernizing benefits was a core priority within the wider digital transformation strategy. Reward Hub represents a complete shift, from limited, paper-based processes to a flexible, automated, competitive benefits program across four regions. The platform provides a strong foundation to mature the program, react to employee feedback faster, and continue digitizing how OneAdvanced supports its people. It also aligns with the organization’s broader HR tech strategy, enabling deeper integrations, more valuable data insights, and a more seamless employee experience.â€
High engagement and meaningful behavior change
“Engagement has been extremely strong. The UK saw 90% platform engagement across 1,600+ employees, including difficult-to-reach deskless workers.
85% percent of employees retained the new fully funded PMI benefit – a significant increase from just over 70% uptake pre-launch, achieved across a much larger eligible population (1,600 employees versus 600 previously across all countries).
Behavior change has been particularly strong across core benefits:
Excluding pension contributions, employees are now investing around £400k per year in benefits since launching Benifex – representing an increase of approximately 250%, saving employees over £35k in national insurance contributions and much more in income tax.
Ongoing activity has remained high, with around 100 unique visits daily. A strong educational focus, supported by 20 benefit webinars globally, has also helped employees understand and engage with brand-new benefits.
The program has evolved from a limited offering to fully flexible benefits and a total of 20+ new voluntary benefits available on the platform.â€
Supporting the wider people strategy
“OneAdvanced’s reward principles focus on performance, personal growth, and wellbeing. Benefits directly support the areas of personal growth and wellbeing.
The global PMI rollout has already delivered real impact. Employees are moving from long NHS waits to rapid access through the healthcare offering, supporting faster returns to work and improved wellbeing outcomes.
The platform also strengthens support for mental, financial, and physical wellbeing. Overall, benefits empower employees to take control of their health and performance.â€
Looking ahead – continuing to evolve and integrate
“The platform will now be used as a springboard to respond even faster to employee feedback. Next steps include exploring the Benifex mobile app, deeper analytics, and the Recognition and Discounts tools – particularly how recognition can be embedded into the flow of work.
The team plans to increase integration with the wider HR tech stack and begin analyzing platform data for workforce trends and potential risks.â€
Why Benifex?
“Benifex’s UX stood out compared to the market and was a clear step ahead based on alignment to our benefits strategy and desired employee experience. Key differentiators included Marketplace, TRS, and the platform’s global capability.
Some providers declined to tender due to the global scale OneAdvanced required. Having previous experience with Zellis also provided confidence and trust in the partnership.â€
